Fiesta history

Fort Madison Mexican Fiesta has been a community tradition since 1921, growing from its early roots into the celebration it is today — a volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) nonprofit event honoring the heritage, food, music, and families that have shaped it for over a century. The photos below trace that history, from vintage newspaper clippings and early Queens Courts to the dance troupe, vendors, and gatherings that keep the tradition alive.

In loving memory

Each year the Fiesta remembers members of our community and Fiesta family who have passed. We honor them here.
